Rudra's Pov
"Why the fuck, did you do that?" I snapped at Digvijay and Vikram.
These two had made a stupid decision of making that girl Aadya the face of our project.
Couldn't they find some other girl ? I mean why her of all the other girls!
"Rudra calm down, here, have a drink," Digvijay's eyes were blank like always as he forwarded the glass of wine to me. I glared at him, even in this situation this fucker was as emotionless as before.
I glared at him for a long minute but even then no emotion flickered in his eyes. I sighed at his blankness and took the glass of wine from his hand.
I gulped down the wine in one go, enjoying the burning that arose in my throat.
I can feel it. Even after I was trying to look past this feeling but I can feel it. I do not want to accept it but I am feeling like she is the one.
She is the one for not only me but for all of us. Maybe she is that fourth piece whom we were waiting for so long.
No Rudra, stop thinking that. She is not the one. She is special to Abhimanyu, she might be his lover all that you know. My mind pulled me out from those delusional thoughts and it was right.
Aadya Kumar was not for us.
I clenched my hand into fist controlling this sudden unknown feeling again burning inside me when I whispered those words to myself.
I don't know what this feeling is called. I wanted to stop it however she was again affecting me.
I don't want to get affected by her presence. That is why I am not liking the decision my brothers had made.
"Rudra, why are you getting so hyper over this trivial matter? " Vikram asked, by the look on his face I could see that he was not understanding the depth of my concerns.
"Firstly this is not a trivial matter and secondly I am not getting hyper I am just stating the fact that you guys have taken a wrong decision," I scoffed, pouring another drink for myself, trying my best to ignore this nagging feeling inside me.
"Are you doubting our decision Rudra," I heard Digvijay. There was a small sadness, a sign of emotion in his voice that was only we were privileged to hear and see.
I sighed and looked back at my brother. I can never doubt their decision,"No I am not doubting your decision vijay. It's just...I think she is not good for the project," I cooked up a lie.
"And why do you think that?"Vikram asked, arching a brow."Let me correct myself, Neither is she good for the project nor for us," I told them.
"And I think like this because the day we first met her, we lost the fucking project. She is not good for us brothers, she will only bring misfortune to us," I tried to explain myself, justifying my fucked up lie.
"Misfortune ? what the fuck are you spitting Rudra," Vijay exclaimed, his cold eyes showing utter shock.
Well I know why he was looking at me like that.I was telling them that she will bring misfortune to us. This was the shittiest excuse that I have ever made.
But how can I explain to them that I don't want that girl near me or near us. I don't want to feel those weird feelings when she is around me. She is in my mind, in my thoughts since the day I first saw her. I want to get rid of all this, but apparently my friends have other ideas.
"Since when you start believing in all this crap. Rudra, misfortune?" Vikram scoffed, shaking his head.
"Alright. Alright. I don't believe in that crap.. It's just..." I couldn't complete my sentence.
"It's just what Rudra ?" Vikram pressed, aiming to bring out words from my mouth and this time he was successful in doing so.
"It's just that she is affecting me and I am not liking it a bit. She has something in her that is attracting me to her. It's as simple as that. What us it an attraction or a fucked up infatuation, I don't know but in every other minute of the day she is coming in my mind making it hard for me to forget her. I just don't want to feel all this. She is not like the girl I desire to have. I just want to forget about her but you involving her in our project is completely opposite of that," I poured my heart out to them.
They are my best friends, my brothers, they have never judged me and I know they will not judge me on this matter.
There was a prominent silence in the room after my confession. Only the sound of my rapid breathing was hearable. But then breaking the silence, what Vikram said left me nothing but flabbergasted.
"Well, if it makes you feel any better. I am also going through the same shit as you. I can't get her out of my mind. I even imagined her while fucking my whores. And believe me brother seeing her again today has made my situation even worse," he said like he was hating this feeling and was afraid of what this feeling will brew within him.
I can understand him better than anyone. It was the first ever time he was feeling like this for any girl. It was hard for him to accept this feeling just like it was hard for me to accept it.
"It's the urge to fuck her. To tame her," said Digvijay, grabbing our attention.
"when you see a beautiful girl you want to bed her. Aadya is no different. She is no special, just because she seems pure and sinless and looks like an angel doesn't make her any different. She is the same as other girls who like to trap men in their beauty and innocence. Don't fall for her charms, brothers. It will destroy everything" Digvijay said. I can see the truth in his eyes.I can feel his pain and I just want to kill that damn woman who makes him suffer like this.
That bitch. His ex wife.
"You are right Vijay it's just the urge to fuck her and she is no different from other girls," Vikram said having the same thoughts as me.
Though our heart was saying otherwise, we will always go with our mind which was saying it's nothing but infatuation, a mere infatuation which will pass with time.
Moreover, if Digvijay was not having any feelings for her then we should also suppress our feelings
After all that was what we decided years ago. We will only share and marry a woman if we all have love for her.
What me and Vikram have for Aadya is infatuation not love and moreover Digvijay also feels nothing for her. She is with Abhimanyu, which only proves one thing that she is not the one whom we were waiting for.
"As far as I know she is not a model so why did you propose this project to her?" I asked Vikram to change the subject.
"As you said Rudra, she is a very attractive woman. She has an appealing face. She will be a perfect fit for the project, I guarantee you that," Vikram said, confidently.
His words made me frown. Yes she is attractive. Fuck that she is beautiful. However I sensed another motive in his words.
"But I am sensing some other motive in this Vikram," I voiced my thoughts.
Ever so slowly a smirk arose on his lips and he said, "That's why you are my best friend Rudra."
Him and Digvijay shared a devilish look which made me furrow my eyebrows in confusion more.
Vikram arched a brow to me and then it clicked me. I could not hold the sarcastic chuckle that left my mouth,"oh I can't wait to see Abhimanyu's reaction on this," I said and we laughed out loud like the devil we are.
How can we lose a chance to hurt that traitor?
....
Aadya's Pov
I think this is my first and last time doing modeling. Because I literally suck at it. The poor photographer was giving me instructions to pose like that or this but I was failing miserably at it.
In the end she gave up with a long sigh.
“Let's take a short break. We will continue it after some time,” she said, obviously getting tired of my amateur modelling.
“Hey it's okay you are trying your best. There's nothing more than that you can do,”Anokhi said, trying to cheer me up. “I should not have accepted this photoshoot in exchange of what Vikram and Digvijay said,” I said with a small sigh.
When I looked at Anokhi I found her grinning at me,“What ?” I asked, confused by her grinning suddenly like a Cheshire cat.
“You call them by their name,” she said in a sing-song manner. I scoffed at that,“yeah only behind their back.”
“But still you never take someone's name who is older than you of course except me and Abhimanyu as you love us two to bits and pieces but you are taking their name instead of calling them by their second names which you rarely do with whom you are not accustomed to,” Anokhi tried to weave a story out of such a simple matter. I call them by their names behind their back. What's a big deal in that?
I was about to tell her to not think much to all this when the photographer came back.
"I think we should start again,” she said with a fresh smile. I
My hands again turned clammy. I was really getting nervous. I stood in front of the camera and tried giving it a pose however I was failing miserably. My nervousness must have started showing on my face as I saw the photographer again twisting her lips, displeased.
I looked at Anokhi who was already looking at me with a sad smile. We knew that it would be difficult for me but we didn't know it would be this hard for me.
…
Aadya looked down out of sadness, she was feeling bad that she could not even pose for one good picture.
She was not only wasting hers but other people's time too.
She bit her lip trying to curbed in those old feelings of some of her insecurities about her body when suddenly the door of the studio room opened.
Her brows curved slightly and she looked up. Her gaze cluttered with that of his dark enigmatic ones.
Digvijay… she whispered.
Her heartbeat was getting away from its normal rhythm. Suddenly it started racing, in its own kind of race. Her clammy turned more clammy, almost slipping away from each other as he entered the room.
His walk was royal and dangerous. His dark eyes sharp like a sharpest knife as it swept across her face.
For a moment it seemed like he went into a trance looking at her beauty, however at another moment he was again that cold man with the coldest pair of dark eyes.
He stopped near the lady photographer,“What is the problem ? Why are you not continuing with your work," his cold voice thundered in the silent room. Everyone shivered at his blank tone, Aadya did too.
The photographer told him about Aadya's immaturity as a model and how she was failing to give one proper pose to the camera.
He again turned his eyes to her. As soon as his eyes met hers, Aadya looked down, maybe out of shyness. She was looking different today… so much different than the last two times he had seen her.
In a soft pink dress and the softest makeup on her face she was looking like an innocent angel. Her long black curls were bound in a small bun, if only Digvijay had not bound his feelings with a tight rope of restraint then she would have become someone more than just another beautiful girl.
Walking to her he stood in front of her with his hands in his pants pocket and his emotionless stone eyes on her,“Is there any problem Miss Aadya ? Is anything or anyone here bothering you ?”
Yes you and your presence.
Aadya wanted to whisper however she just shook her head lightly, her gaze still kept down. She had her hands clasped together in front of her, she was trying to restrain that slight shake of her hands but Digvijay's hawk-like eyes noticed it without any problem.
Digvijay sighed, out of her impulsiveness she had said yes to modelling but the girl was damn nervous from inside.
So little miss aadya was an impulsive doll. A smirk curved on his lips finding her one and very evident weakness.
“Look at me,” he said and Aadya snapped her eyes to him in a second.
She felt like someone had poured a bucket full of ice water on her head as all her swirling emotions and thoughts came to a halt and she froze meeting those eyes of his from up close.
Her eyes closed and then opened slowly and she found herself taking a sharp yet short breath as his masculine scent invaded her senses.
It was too hard for her.. it was the first time she took notice of an unknown man's scent from this closer.
She looked up at him and he looked down, everything and everyone around them turned null.
“Relax,” he whispered softly to her.
It was so out of his character to speak like that but knowingly or unknowingly he did that for her.
“I have not done anything like this before. I don't think my pictures will come good,” without her knowing she trusted him and said what was really in her mind.
“why do you think that your pictures will not come good,” he asked, aadya could see a slight amusement lighting his eyes.
“I just know that,” Aadya whispered, her pink lips turning into a small pout.
It was making him want to suck them.. Digvijay breathed deeply. Taking a step or two away from her at that thought which came in his mind.
Aadya blinked confused as he created a little gap between them.
His closeness was affecting her but his distance was affecting her more.
Aadya shut her eyes tight, clutching her dress tightly with her hands.
What kind of thoughts was she getting? It was wrong, so so wrong.
Control yourself Aadya !!
“You are wrong," Aadya opened her eyes after hearing his hard voice. Raising his hand he took out a single strand of her hair out of her bun and left it to linger near her ear.
A current passed through her spine feeling his rough finger touching her in a slightest way.
“You are wrong to think that your pictures will not come good. If you do it with pure joy, confidence rather than anxiousness then you will look more beautiful than you already are and it will reflect in your pictures. I assure you Aadya just do it with confidence and your every picture will come as beautiful as you are,” Digvijay said softly and Aadya found herself blushing furiously at his last sets of words.
Digvijay blinked surprised at his own words. He again created a long gap between them when he registered what he said and how he said it.
He said that she is beautiful and he said it so admiringly !
He looked at Aadya who was now giving poses to the camera with complete confidence.
His hands fisted on his sides, he was not happy with how expressive he was with her. He was the one who was telling his brothers to not get affected by her at all and here he was talking to her with this softness. He has not talked to anyone like that before.
Not giving another glance towards her he stormed out of the room while looking him going like that Aadya wondered what happened to him suddenly.
....
After the photoshoot Aadya went inside the changing room to change.
She changed into her old clothes that she had worn before the shoot which was a soft white dress with a white shrug.

Taking her handbag when she came out of the changing room she found Rudra talking to Anokhi.
Both of them turned towards her, sensing her presence.
Anokhi welcomed her with a warm smile however Rudra's eyes were soaking in every drop of her beauty.
His mouth parted and he lost himself in her just like the time he had first seen her.
That day it was somewhat amusing aadya. She had found him cute but now it was making her feel unusual. Not a bad kind of unusual but just unusual.
“Should we go A,” she said to her friend, completely ignoring the man whose eyes were not leaving her for a second.
“Yeah we are all done. We should definitely get going,” Anokhi replied, not aware of Rudra's heating gaze and aadya melting down under it.
“You did great, Miss Aadya. I just saw your pictures on the monitor. You were looking amazing in all the pictures,"Rudra said, trying to initiate a conversation with her. He did not like the way she was completely ignoring him.
Aadya looked him in the eyes. It was the first time she was looking at him with this closer given that it was just their second time meeting.
But she could not ignore the fact of how good looking he was. She remembered the night she was gawking at his pictures.
Those girls drooling on him were wrong. He was not only handsome he was more than just handsome. His looks could bewitch any woman of any age. He was really blessed with good looks.
She pinched her friend on her waist when she found her looking dreamily at Rudra.
Whatever the reason was, she did not like the way Anokhi was looking at him. “Thank you Rudra…I mean Mr. Pratap. I only tried to give my best,” she replied to him with a small awkward smile.
Anokhi almost laughed out loud when Aadya called him by his name.
“I think you should do more modeling, Miss Aadya. You really have got a talent,” Rudra said but Aadya denied his words with the shake of her head,“No I don't want to. I am happy with my career choice,” she said.
“Well I…” Rudra was about to say something but Aadya cut him in between,“I am sorry Mr. Pratap but we have to go now. Have a good day sir,” she said and grabbing Anokhi's hand she stormed out of there.
Rudra's eyes hardened when she cut him in between and without hearing his words walked out of the studio abruptly.
He doesn't like it when someone tries to ignore him and this time he hated it more when ignoring him completely aadya walked away. It hurted his ego.
….
Aadya cursed for the third time.
Anokhi got a sudden call from the office and she had to go to complete some urgent work. She would have dropped Aadya home but then she had to drive to the opposite side of the office. So Aadya send her away saying that she would take a taxi for home but from the last fifteen she was trying to stop a taxi but not one taxi has stopped till now.
“Arey yaar,” Aadya cried when another taxi passed just in front of her but did not stop. The sun was getting harsher making her sweat and on top of that she was getting hungry.
(Darn it)
She could literally hear her tummy growling like a little tiger and the rich restaurant on the other side of the road was only tempting her to go and eat something however she could not go there to eat as right now she didn't carried much money with her.
“Aadya,” someone called her name and she turned towards the voice.
Rudra was looking at her with concern and confusion on his face,“What are you doing here ? You were about to go home right and where is your friend who was with you ?" Walking to her he asked her with concern.
Aadya was a little shocked after seeing him there.
“She had to go, some emergency came in the office. I am trying to take a taxi but no taxi is stopping,” she said, already cursing her fate.
“Come I will drop you then,” he said without a second thought and Aadya's eyes whipped to him. “What ? No no it's alright. I will go by myself, you don't have to worry for me,” Aadya said. If Abhimanyu sees her with him he will definitely not like it. Like it ? He will hate it.
Rudra looked at her for a minute before again saying,“I am not worrying for you. I just want to help you so come and sit in my car I will drop you. The sun is getting warmer, you will catch a headache or worse a fever if you stand under the warming sun even a minute more,” he said with no emotion in his face but deep down he was concerned for the way she was turning red under the sun.
Aadya was confused by his change of demeanor. He was so normal a few minutes ago and now he was looking as blank as Digvijay.
She pursed her lips and again shook her head,“No it's alright and moreover I am hungry so I am going to that restaurant to have some food. You don't stop for my account,” said Aadya.
Rudra narrowed his eyes at her not believing in her single word.
“Okay bye,” when he didn't leave from there even then Aadya said and walked ahead to cross the road to go to that restaurant.
With her mind full of everything she did not notice the car coming from the wrong side of the road. She was about get hit by the high speed car but at the moment Rudra saved her.
“Aadya,” he yelled, grabbing her hand he pulled her in his arms.
Rudra glared at the driver,“Bloody motherfucker! Are you blind," he screamed at him. Within a second a crowd pulled around them, Rudra's men came and dragged the driver out of the car.
“I a-m so-sorry sir," the driver begged, knowing who Rudra was, the youngest and the most powerful politician of that region.
Rudra gave a hard slap right on his face,“Why the fuck were you driving at the wrong side of the road that too with that speed. What if she would have got hurt ! What if anyone else would have got hurt because of your rash driving!?” he shouted at the car driver.
“I a-m so-rry sir I am so-r-ry ma'am,” the driver begged and folded his hands to Aadya who was clung to Rudra's arm like his second skin.
Aadya blinked her eyes not knowing what to say or do. She just turned her face to the other side, too stunned to say anything. “Get away from here,” Rudra yelled at the driver.
Aadya flinched at his loud tone and Rudra noticed how scared she was.
She was holding his hand tightly, her whole body leaning to him as she literally hugged him from the side. He could feel her shivering in fear. Her breath was rapid and high.
He smiled slightly and made her look at him by cupping her face,“Hey it's okay. Nothing happened to you. You are safe with me,” he spoke softly, his dark eyes assuring her.
“If that car had hit me and I would have died. I don't wanna die in a car accident. It hurts so much. I don't like when I bleed much. It burns so much I hate it. I.. I don't know what happened to me. I always look at both sides before crossing the road but I didn't today and that is why I was about to die. I don't want to die hungry,” she rambled out whatever came to mind. She made him smile again with her words. Her cuteness was touching his heart..
He had decided to restrain all those unwanted feelings but her innocence and their closeness was just breaking every setup boundary.
Their faces were just an inch away. Rudra could feel her sweet breath fanning on his lips but Aadya was too scared to notice it.
She just clung to him for her dear life and sputtered out the words.
“You are hungry,” he asked with a small smile. Aadya bit her lips making him curse mentally at how sexy she looked while doing that. “No,” Aadya said this time after thinking about it a bit but the loud growl coming from her tummy betrayed her.
Rudra chuckled at that and Aadya looked down in embarrassment.
“Let's go and have something to eat. I am damn hungry,” he said, leaving her from his hold. “No thanks,” Aadya whispered, looking down but Rudra only shook his head,“Please I am hungry and the restaurant is just right there. It's tempting me. Please give me a company.”
He said and opened his hand for her to hold.
Aadya looked down at his opened hand and winced remembering how she was clutching to him a moment ago.
She bit her lips again and looked at the busy road. The traffic was scaring her now.
She wanted to hold his hand and not hold his hand at the same time.
Not knowing what else to do she simply held the end of his suit blazer from behind,“let's go,” she said and Rudra smiled.
Both of them crossed the road. With Rudra leading the way and Aadya following him like a lost puppy by holding his blazer's end.
